'Big Trouble in Little China' star Peter Kwong Dead at 73
Peter Kwong, known for his portrayal as Rain in John Carpenter's 1986 classicBig Trouble in Little China, has died. According to Variety, Kwong died in his sleep on Tuesday, May 27, as revealed by one of his reps. T he veteran actor was 73. In the film, Rain is an elemental master and expert martial artist who uses a sword. During an interview with The Los Angeles Times in 1986, the actor described the film as "tongue in cheek." He also said that it can't be seen as being in the same genre as Year of the Dragon.
