Timothée Chalamet attended a Premier League football game today (August 30), supporting his favourite team, Chelsea FC.

Chalamet’s team won 2-0 against their rivals Fulham FC at Stamford Bridge Stadium, and the actor was there to celebrate the win.

He was sitting in one of the hospitality seats, The Dugout Club, and was pictured metres away from player Cole Palmer. Chelsea FC made a Wonka-related joke on its X post, writing: “A golden ticket for Timothee Chalamet.”

Fans have also dug out photographs of Chalamet donning Chelsea FC merch in the past, confirming that he is a fan of the club.

Chalamet is not Chelsea FC’s only famous fan. Back in 2023, Olivia Rodrigo shared she became a fan of the club after attending her first-ever football match at Stamford Bridge.

She confirmed it was the first football match she had ever seen and had “the best time”. Taking to her official Instagram account, the singer posted a video on her Insta stories of her running on the pitch.

Taking to their official social media accounts, the club shared a photo of Rodrigo and Chilwell smiling on X (Twitter) with a caption that read: “New Chelsea fan unlocked: Olivia Rodrigo”, and on Instagram with the caption: “Olivia Rodrigo is a Blue! #CheLiv.”

In other Timothée Chalamet-related news, the actor trained for “months and months” to prepare to play a star ping pong player in an upcoming movie.

He will play the lead role in Marty Supremea new A24 film set to be released in December. It comes from director Josh Safdie, one-half of the Safdie brothers, known for Uncut Gems and Good Time.

The actor’s dedication to the Marty Supreme role comes as no surprise, given he spent five years gradually becoming Bob Dylan for A Complete Unknown, learning dozens of songs and perfecting his voice and mannerisms. He was nominated for an Oscar for the role, losing out to Adrien Brody for The Brutalist.

In an interview with NME, Hollywood legend Cate Blanchett – who previously played Bob Dylan in Todd Haynes’ experimental 2007 biopic I’m Not There – confirmed she saw A Complete Unknown and said of Chalamet: “I thought he was fantastic. I really loved the whole film.”
