Yesterday (July 31), former RIIZE member Seunghan debuted new music as part of his new collective XngHan&Xoul. While the project is seen as Seunghan’s solo outfit, he is approaching it with a collaborative lens, and will partner with more creative collaborators down the line. These collaborators will contribute to the Xoul branding.
His first release comes in the form of the single ‘Waste No Time’, which is accompanied by a music video. For ‘Waste No Time’, his XngHan&Xoul collective has collaborated with professional dancers Kyohong and Yul.
Check out the music video for XngHan&Xoul’s ‘Waste No Time’ below.
The debut single is also accompanied by the b-side ‘Heavenly Blue’. Check it out below.
XngHan&Xoul’s debut comes several months after founding member Seunghan left the popular K-pop group RIIZE in October last year. His departure occurred only two days after Seunghan and SM Entertainment faced backlash after the latter announced his return to RIIZE following a year-long hiatus.
Shortly after, a number of K-pop retailers across the globe halted restocks of RIIZE merchandise “out of respect for our customers, fans, and the artist”.
RIIZE most recently released the album ‘Odyssey’ in mid-May. It included tracks like ‘Fly Up’, ‘Midnight Mirage’, ‘Inside My Love’, ‘Another Life’, ‘Ember To Solar’ and more. It marked their first release since Seunghan’s exit.
They’ve also announced the RIIZING LOUD in North America tour, which is due to kick off in late October, and will conclude in mid-November – check out the full list of dates here.
