James Gunn Responds to Accusations 'Superman' Is Too "Woke"
Following comments that Superman is an immigrant and “the story of America,” director James Gunn has come under fire from a certain section of the political divide, many of whom have accused the Man of Steel, a character defined by his kindness and desire to do good, as too “woke.” Now, Gunn himself has responded to this “accusation,” with the filmmaker left a little confused about this predominantly right-wing interpretation.
