James Wan Confirms Fate of 'The Conjuring Universe' Following 'Last Rites'
The Conjuring Universe is coming to an end as we know it, and for creator and director James Wan, he's looking forward to putting to rest the popular horror franchise that's been running for more than 10 years. Wan helped conceive the story for the final film, The Conjuring: Last Rites, which is directed by Michael Chaves and slated to open this September to bring to a close what some have called Phase 1. As for the possibility of a Phase 2? He says that’s still up in the air for now.
