John Boyega Reveals What He Thought Would Happen in the 'Star Wars' Sequel Trilogy
John Boyega, the actor known for playing Finn in theStar Warssequel trilogy, has revealed what he thought would be the direction of the franchise after he read the script for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens. The first film in the latest trilogy put Finn beside Rey (Daisy Ridley) as a strong partner during their search for Luke and the battle against the First Order. The problem is that, in the following movies, Finn's role was markedly reduced. Even though he can be seen in the posters, Boyega isn't as prominent in the follow-up films, something he was admittedly surprised by. Upon reading that first script, he actually thought he'd have a larger role, be Force-sensitive, and eventually become a worthy antagonist.
