KATSEYE wind back the clock in ‘Gabriela’ teaser

KATSEYE have unveiled a new teaser for their upcoming single ‘Gabriela’ – check it out below.
The HYBE x Geffen girl group uploaded the teaser yesterday (June 16), less than two weeks before they release their new EP ‘Beautiful Chaos’ at the end of the month. In the teaser, we get a glimpse of each individual member – all of whom sport retro looks.
The teaser also includes touches of Spanish-inspired guitar styles, flashes of glittery backdrops and more. Check out the teaser below.
‘Beautiful Chaos’ is due for release on June 27 via HYBE x Geffen Records and can be pre-saved on digital streaming platforms or pre-ordered here.
Per a press release, the upcoming EP will see the global girl group explore complex themes of modern girlhood and the blurring lines between the real and digital world. They’re also looking to leave their mark on the world, with KATSEYE saying in a statement: “We want KATSEYE to be timeless and to have a lasting influence. Not just for now — we want forever.”
KATSEYE made their debut last August with ‘SIS (Soft Is Strong)’, which featured the singles ‘Debut’ and ‘Touch’. In a four-star review of the record, NME’s Mika Chen called the EP a “surprisingly cohesive release that largely captures the group’s enormous potential” but criticised the short length of its tracks.
KATSEYE were also selected as one of the emerging essential artists to watch in 2025 for the NME 100. NME also named ‘Touch’ as one of the 50 best songs of 2024: “It’s one thing to make an earworm, and another to transform a pop song into something akin to muscle memory. That’s what K-pop does best [and] KATSEYE proved that they’re scholars of K-pop’s most important lessons.”
Comprising members Sophia, Manon, Daniella, Lara, Megan and Yoonchae, KATSEYE formed in November 2023 through HYBE x Geffen Records’ reality show Dream Academy. They were the final six among the 20 contestants who competed in the series.
