Liam and Noel Gallagher’s brother Paul has been charged with rape and string of violent offences

Paul Gallagher, the older brother of Oasis stars Liam and Noel, has been charged with rape, sexual assault and a string of other offences.
He was charged by Scotland Yard with a string of violent sex offences following an investigation that opened last year.
The Telegraph has reported that accusations include rape, sexual assault, threats to kill and coercive control. The 59-year-old is set to appear in court next month.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police shared a statement that read: “Paul Gallagher, of Manor Park Road, East Finchley, has been charged with rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.”
It continued: “The offences are reported to have taken place between 2022-2024. The charges follow an investigation which commenced in 2024. A woman is being supported by specially trained officers.”
Paul – who is one year older than Noel and seven years older than Liam – has previously worked as a DJ and photographer. The Telegraph reports that the North London flat that he lives in now was bought for him by Noel in 2004.
He grew up with the two musicians in Burnage, Manchester, but has never been involved in Oasis.
Paul Gallagher is due to appear at Westminster magistrates’ court on Wednesday August 27.
The charges come as Liam and Noel in the midst of the ‘Live ‘25’ Oasis reunion tour – marking their first shows together since the band’s split in 2009.
They have already kicked the tour off with two shows at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium and five homecoming dates at Manchester’s Heaton Park. This past weekend saw them play the first of two of their seven scheduled dates at London’s Wembley Stadium.
The tour continues with more Wembley shows on Wednesday (July 30), Saturday (August 2) and Sunday (3). From there, the band will head to Edinburgh, Dublin and North America, before travelling back to London for two additional concerts at Wembley on September 27 and 28.
