Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson pretend to make out on live TV and respond to relationship rumours

Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson have leaned in to rumours that they are dating in an appearance on a talk show.

The two were filmed together on The Today Show, promoting their new comedy The Naked Gun. During the introduction, they appeared to be in a passionate embrace, before jokingly realising they are being filmed and covering up. One host commented: “Did they just kiss? They’re making out on The Today Show!”; while another added: “The rumours are true??”

The skit seems to be a reference to rumours the pair are dating. People published a report that cites a source close to the movie, who revealed: “It’s a budding romance in the early stages. It’s sincere, and it’s clear they’re smitten with each other”. The same article also quotes an interview from Neeson, saying he was “madly in love” with the former Baywatch star.

Neither party have officially confirmed the rumour, but have appeared very close during the promotion for their new film. The Naked Gun is a reboot of the Leslie Nielsen classic ‘80s comedies, with Neeson stepping into the role of Frank Drebin Jr, a committed but gaffe-prone police lieutenant. Anderson co-stars as his love interest, taking on the role of a character called Beth Davenport.

The movie is produced by Seth MacFarlane, and is set to arrive in cinemas this Friday (August 1). In the build up to the movie, Neeson made a mock PSA appealing with audiences to save movie comedies.

While he has been away from the big screen for several years, Neeson has remained a popular fixture on streaming service Netflix. Recently, another of the actor’s back catalogue shot to the top of the daily charts in the UK and Ireland.
