'Predator: Badlands' Will Be an "Inversion" of What’s Come Before, Dan Trachtenberg Teases

Nearly 40 years after the very first Predator film hit theaters, the coveted sci-fi franchise is still going strong. Just because Arnold Schwarzenegger is no longer leading the charge in the newer installments, that doesn't mean fans have should lose hope. After all, Predator: Killer of Killers just dropped on Hulu to rave reviews, and its co-director — who also helmed the Emmy-winning film Prey (2022) — has yet another movie in the works, due out later this year. MovieWeb attended the recent LA premiere of Killer of Killers and had a chance to speak with filmmaker Dan Trachtenberg about his deep involvement with the Predator canon, including his upcoming film Predator: Badlands. The filmmaker teased how different the next installment in the franchise will be, calling it an "inversion" of what's come before.
