Sarah Jessica Parker Is Right About Sexist Double Standards for Women on TV

Sarah Jessica Parker is all too familiar with the tiring battle of constantly having to listen (and occasionally clap back) to people bashing a female character for who she is, what she does, and what she wants. One of Parker's most iconic roles is Carrie Bradshaw from HBO's romantic comedy TV series, Sex and the City. The first episode was released in 1998 and came to an end in 2004. Parker is currently back in the role of Carrie Bradshaw for the chart-topping Sex and the City reboot and sequel, And Just Like That…, but it isn't just the iconic role that continues. With it comes a constant misogyny that, unfortunately, isn't solely restricted to the Sex and the City universe.
