'Sunrise on the Reaping' Confirms an Annoying Lucy Gray and Katniss Theory
It has been 10 years since the last installment of the YA dystopian movie series, The Hunger Games, was released. Still, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), the winner of the 74th Hunger Games and the rebels' Mockingjay, isn't going anywhere. Even though she doesn't appear in it, Katniss' presence can still be felt in Francis Lawrence's Hunger Games prequel from 2023, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. While the captivating prequel focused on Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth) and his time spent mentoring one of the tributes from District 12, Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler), it also highlights the nomadic group from which Lucy Gray is from. The Coveys are trading musicians who were forced to live in District 12 as a result of the first rebellion, and there are theories that Katniss Everdeen is somehow related to them.
