'The Blues Brothers' Are Taking Their Mission to Netflix This June
It's time to get the band back together once again, because Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi's seminal musical, The Blues Brothers, is driving onto Netflix this June. Directed by John Landis, The Blues Brothers was released in 1980 and soon became a cult-classic musical. Aykroyd co-wrote the script with Landis and starred in the film as Elwood, one of the two titular Blues Brothers, alongside John Belushi's Jake Blues. The film is often regarded as the best musical for people who hate conventional musicals, blending popular hit songs, absurd comedy, and an orchestra's worth of popular musicians.
