Ticketless Oasis fans “will be moved on” from outside London’s Wembley Stadium

Ticketless Oasis fans in London have been told that they will be “moved on” if they congregate outside Wembley Stadium.
The announcement comes as the Britpop giants are currently underway with their first official tour dates since 2009. They kicked off the UK dates with two shows at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4 and 5, and recently completed five homecoming shows at Manchester’s Heaton Park, playing to over 80,000 people each night at the latter.
Now, before they head to the UK capital to continue the UK leg of shows, officials for Wembley Stadium have shared that those without tickets will not be allowed to linger around the venue during the shows.
“To support with the safe entry and exit of everyone within the stadium, no one is allowed to stand outside any entrance or on the Olympic Steps at the front of the stadium,” an official spokesperson said. “Non ticket holders will be moved on.”
The statement comes as fans in Manchester have been making headlines recently for gathering at a nearby area – which has been dubbed ‘Gallagher Hill’ – to watch the Heaton Park shows from a distance. Hundreds of ticketless fans came together at the site across the five shows, despite recurring efforts from council members to stop them.

After initial warnings were ignored by some fans, the council erected big barriers to prevent those on ‘Gallagher Hill’ from being able to see the show, and later, multiple fans were arrested for trying to scale them.
The band did express their gratitude for the fans turning up to support them, despite not having tickets. At a couple of shows, Liam Gallagher dedicated ‘Definitely Maybe’ classic ‘Bring It Own Down’ to the crowds that had gathered on the mound, and at the final night on Sunday (July 20), the crowds were shown on the huge screens at the venue and custom-made t-shirts reading ‘Gallagher Hill’ were given out for free to those who were there.
Oasis will be starting their shows at Wembley Stadium this weekend (July 25 and 26), and continuing with dates on July 30, August 2 and August 3. The band will then return to London for two more shows on September 27 and 28.
The statement that fans without tickets will be “moved on” from outside the stadium follows on from the same rules being put in place for Taylor Swift’s huge ‘Eras’ tour last year. A similar announcement was made by Wembley Stadium after it became a trend for eager Swifties to gather outside venues where the singer is performing if they didn’t have tickets.
Ahead of the shows starting this week, Wembley Park has launched a new outdoor exhibition, showing iconic photos of Oasis in the ‘90s, taken by Kevin Cummin.
Images on display include shots from the band’s first-ever studio session at Sly Street Studio in February 1994, one of Noel pictured alone in Amsterdam after the rest of the band was deported for fighting Chelsea fans on a ferry, one of the Gallaghers jumping onto the back of a No.73 bus in central London, and more.
NME gave the band’s first show of the tour in Cardiff a glowing five-star review. “After a ‘90s heyday and an often maligned post-millennium era, this is Oasis redesigned for the 21st Century,” it read. “Playing before a pop-art-meets-psychedelia visual spectacular that never distracts but will look sick on a phone, they seem the quintessential stadium band playing the greatest hits of greatest hits.”
