Tom Cruise Classic 'Days of Thunder' Confirmed for Legacy Sequel
As jet engines are being prepared for a future sequel to Top Gun: Maverick, Tom Cruise could be cooking up another highly anticipated legacy sequel. Days of Thunder, the NASCAR epic that reunited Cruise with Top Gun director Tony Scott in 1990, is also on the actor's radar. Jeff Gordon, who has known the Hollywood star for many years, ran into the Mission: Impossible star during the premiere of the latest film entry in the action franchise, and Cruise allegedly said to him, "We're doing Days of Thunder 2."
