The moment took place on Saturday night (August 2), as the rapper appeared at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to host night one of SummerSlam.
The Grammy-winner had hinted at a WWE appearance with fans over the years, and when it finally came to fruition over the weekend, her song ‘Outside’ was selected as the theme of the two-night event.
It was as she made her appearance, however, that she turned heads – using the grand entrance to showcase a new song. The song sees her repeat the lines ‘Hello, it’s me”, and is a preview of her long-awaited sophomore album, ‘Am I The Drama?’.

The album was announced in June and previewed by the aforementioned lead single ‘Outside’. Set for release on September 19 via Atlantic/Warner (and available to pre-order here), the 23-track album will also include her two previously released hits ‘Up’ and ‘WAP’ with Megan Thee Stallion.
Making her appearance at SummerSlam 2025, Cardi shouted, “We’re coming to you live from the Tri-State!”
“We’re making history tonight because this is the first-ever two-day SummerSlam,” she added (via Billboard), also noting appearances from Logan Paul and Randy Orton. “We’re going to be talking about this forever.”
Announcing her forthcoming second album this summer, Cardi said: “Seven years and the time has come. Seven years of love, life and loss. Seven years I gave them grace, but now, I give them hell. I learned power is not given, it’s taken. I’m shedding feathers and no more tears. I’m not back, I’m beyond. I’m not your villain, I’m your tyrant. The time is here. The time is now.”
She also defended her inclusion of ‘WAP’ and ‘Up’ in the tracklist, adding: “My fans have been asking me to put them on an album, and people search for them on IOP all the time… they deserve a home.”
‘Am I The Drama?’ will be the rapper’s first record since her dramatic split from Migos rapper Offset last year. The couple previously separated in December 2018, and Cardi then filed for divorce in 2020, claiming that “there are no prospects for a reconciliation.”
A month later, the ‘WAP’ rapper decided not to go through with it. Last year, however, the pair did separate when the rapper confirmed she was expecting her third child.
Cardi B’s 2018 debut ‘Invasion of Privacy’ scored a four-star review from NME, with Nick Levine writing: “Overall, this is a remarkably confident and compelling debut from a superstar who’s put in the graft. “My little 15 minutes lasting long as hell, huh?” she boasts nonchalantly on final track ‘I Do’. On this evidence, it’s going to last a lot longer yet.”
