Why 'Alien: Earth' Shouldn't Ignore 'Alien: Covenant' and 'Prometheus'
Alien: Earth has a lot going on that should excite fans of the long-running sci-fi horror franchise. For one, as the title suggests, it's the first Alien project set on the planet Earth. Every other Alien project has stranded its human protagonists in the farthest reaches of space to increase the terror and feeling of isolation. Only Alien: Resurrection had teased the crew's arrival on the planet, though not much else. Another exciting aspect is Noah Hawley's involvement. The writer/director is best known for creating acclaimed television series like Fargo and Legion. The fact that he has fully committed himself to Alien: Earth is compelling, even though he plans to omit a key piece of Alien lore.
