Wu-Tang Clan have announced their own video game

Wu-Tang Clan have announced their own video game, Rise Of The Deceiver.
“To save their home of Shaolin, the Wu-Tang Clan must pass on their fantastical powers to a new generation of warriors,” reads the description of Wu-Tang: Rise Of The Deceiver.
“You’ve been called to battle back the forces of an invading, corrupting force – the Deceiver. You and your friends will fight alongside the Wu-Tang Clan, calling on their powerful skills and timeless wisdom to restore Shaolin to a beacon of hope, community, and prosperity.”
The multiplayer action game will feature a soundtrack of classic Wu-Tang Clan songs as well as new music from DJ Just Blaze.
“If you had told me 30 years ago that I’d be doing this, I wouldn’t have believed you. But the cool thing about it is, I’ve actually gotten to reimagine the catalog in a space that is larger than life,” Blaze told Rolling Stone. “A lot of times when it comes to trying to make a record, you’re stuck within a certain format. With this, you can really stretch out. And just really let the music take you on a journey. It’s literally a dream come true.”
“This project is very much a love letter to hip-hop culture and to Wu in general,” he added. “Obviously, everyone knows ‘C.R.E.A.M’ or ‘Protect Ya Neck’ but I wanted to make sure that we featured some of the lesser-known songs for the hardcore fans, like ‘Bizarre’ by U-God or ‘Dexbeat’ or ‘Elevation.’”
I'm happy to announce our new project: Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver.

Rise Of The Deceiver was originally developed as a tie-in to upcoming horror film Angel Of Dust, which will be produced by Wu-Tang’s Ghostface Killah while bandmate RZA will direct and score the project.
“Creating Angel Of Dust has been an incredible journey,” said Ghostface Killah in a statement. “Bringing the story to life through film was just the beginning. Now, with the development of the video game, we are immersing fans even deeper into this supernatural thriller universe. It’s about blending music, storytelling, and interactive experience. I can’t wait for fans to step into the darkness and discover what lies beneath.”
Wu-Tang: Rise Of The Deceiver will launch for PC and console, but no release date has been confirmed. It follows on from their 1999 fighting game Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style.
The legendary hip-hop band kicked off their final ever headline tour last week in Baltimore. The 40-track set saw all surviving members – RZA, GZA, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Inspectah Deck, U-God and Masta Killa – perform tracks from across their back catalogue alongside solo cuts. The ‘Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chapter’ North American tour will end on July 18 in Philadelphia. Tickets for the farewell run are available here.
In other news, it’s been reported that the second season of HBO’s The Last Of Us inspired millions of people to try out the hit video game.
