The eagerly anticipated sequel to 28 Years Later, titled 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, has already completed filming and is scheduled for release on January 16, 2026. Directed by Nia DaCosta and written by Alex Garland, this middle installment continues the narrative arc of the Rage Virus universe. FIlmed back-to-back with its predecessor during the summer of 2024, the sequel positions itself as the linchpin of a planned trilogy, produced by Danny Boyle, with the final film awaiting a green light from Sony.
