4K Re-Release of Kevin Smith's 'Dogma' Gets Gigantic Update Ahead of Cannes Screening
After years of Dogma being held under lock and key by Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Smith recently reacquired the distribution rights to the film, and a worldwide re-release is currently in the works. Released in 1999, Dogma was one of the most controversial films of the '90s, due to its depictions of various Christian figures, like the twelve (thirteen including Rufus) disciples, the angels Bartleby and Loki, and God himself/herself. Despite that, and the film being withheld from streaming services for years, Dogma has become a cult classic, and it's almost time for fans around the world to enjoy it again on the big screen.
