Amazon's James Bond Franchise Just Got a Boost With Denis Villeneuve
Despite much trepidation following the news that Amazon MGM Studios would take complete creative control of the James Bond franchise, the studio seemingly made a strong impression on fans by securing director Denis Villeneuve to help with their upcoming reboot. In the past decade, Villeneuve has emerged as one of the most acclaimed directors of the 21st century and has become a fan favorite thanks to films like Prisoners, Arrival, Blade Runner 2049, and his two Dune films. Even though Villeneuve has sworn off franchises like Star Wars and the MCU, he was willing to make an exception for 007.
