BLACKPINK’s Rosé to release new song for ‘F1’ film soundtrack

BLACKPINK‘s Rosé will be releasing a new solo track soon – find out more below.
Yesterday (May 1), the Formula 1 company, in collaboration with Atlantic Records and Warner Bros. Films announced the line-up for the upcoming F1 movie‘s soundtrack. Per an official press announcement via the F1 website, it has now been confirmed that Rosé will be penning and releasing an entirely new song for the soundtrack this June.
Little info has been shared of her new track, but it’ll mark her first since releasing her solo album ‘rosie’ in December.
Joining her on the F1 soundtrack are Ed Sheeran, Burna Boy, Tate McRae, RAYE, Dom Dolla, Madison Beer, Sexyy Redd and more. So far, one track has been released from the soundtrack, and features Don Toliver and Doja Cat.
The F1 film is due for release on June 25 in the UK, with releases in the US and Canada on June 27. It is directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Brad Pitt and Lewis Hamilton.
Pitt stars as former F1 driver Sonny Hayes, who returns to the sport to partner rookie team mate Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), at the fictional APXGP team.
Rosé’s solo album ‘rosie’ dropped in full on December 6, 2024. It come out alongside a music video for single ‘toxic till the end’. The record featured 12 tracks in total, including her Billboard Hot 100 and record-breaking hit ‘APT.’, featuring Bruno Mars.
‘APT.’ later went on to be named by NME as one of the best 50 songs of 2024 and one of the best 25 K-pop songs of the year. In a four-star review of the album, NME’s Crystal Bell wrote that the album “offers a rare and intimate invitation to understand Rosé as more than just a star — to see Rosie, the woman, searching for validation, love and meaning”.
Following the release of her album, BLACKPINK have announced a 2025 tour taking place at stadiums in the UK, North America, Europe and Asia. The final date of the tour will be held at Wembley Stadium in London, and will mark a huge milestone for the four-piece as they become the first-ever K-pop girl group to headline the venue – visit here for any remaining UK tickets and here for international shows.
