'Brokeback Mountain' Returns to Theaters for 20th Anniversary
In honor of the film's 20th Anniversary, Focus Features is re-releasing Ang Lee's 2005 film Brokeback Mountain. The movie features an impressive cast, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Heath Ledger, Anne Hathaway, and Michelle Williams, in a film that chronicles the intimate and heartbreaking relationship between two cowboys sent to work on the titular Brokeback Mountain. Taking place during the summer of 1963, Ang Lee's film was considered a bold film at the time of its release, and helped push the boundaries for queer narratives in film and television.
