First Look at Shakespeare Drama Reveals Chloé Zhao's Long-Awaited Return
Four years since the arrival of Chloé Zhao's Eternals on the big screen, her follow-up film, Hamnet, has finally released its first image.An adaptation of Maggie O'Farrell's 2020 novel of the same name, the filmoffers a fictionalized account of author William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes Shakespeare (who was really named Anne Hathaway) as they cope with the death of their 11-year-old sonHamnet. Zhao not only directed, but is the co-writer of the film alongside O'Farrell, and directors Steven Spielberg and Sam Mendes are signed on as producers.
