'Found Footage: The Making of the Patterson Project': A Curiously Tame Blend of Humor and Horror

The self-proclaimed mockumentary Found Footage: The Making of the Patterson Project probably would have landed better had its filmmakers not name-checked This is Spinal Tap as a key inspiration. That's a high bar to clear for this mildly amusing genre shape-shifter, and while Found Footage has a certain scruffy charm — as well as a deep knowledge of (and affection for) low-budget filmmaking — it generates mere chuckles as it catalogs everything that could possibly go wrong as a novice director attempts to shoot a found-footage horror movie about Bigfoot.
