Gerard Butler's 'Gods of Egypt' Moves Up Netflix Streaming Charts
Alex Proyas' largely forgotten fantasy-action epic Gods of Egypthas found success on streaming, nearly a decade after its original release in theaters. A new audience appears to be discovering The Crow director's critically panned 2016 feature, which stars Gerard Butler in one of his less memorable roles, especially up against highly-rated characters like Leonidas in 300 and The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera. However, it seems that his turn as "Set," the Egyptian God of the Desert, is now having a moment in the spotlight on Netflix.
