‘Bomb’ follows their sophomore mini-album ‘I’ll Like You’, which arrived in October last year. The project scored a three-star review from Mika Chen for NME.
Mika wrote in the review: “The ‘I’ll Like You’ mini-album reaches for but falls short of the magnetism of their debut, even if both releases are largely cut from the same sonic cloth. One thing the group’s offerings never fail to do, though, is leverage ILLIT’s unique vocal texture – finding that spot between cloyingly sweet and youthful zest. If anything, ‘I’ll Like You’ casts ‘Super Real Me’ in a different light, bringing newfound appreciation and revealing complexities previously hidden in the dark.”
ILLIT made their debut in early 2024 with the EP ‘Super Real Me’, which was lead by the viral single ‘Magnetic’.
The girl group – comprising Wonhee, Minju, Iroha, Moka and Yunah – were formed through the JTBC reality TV series R U Next?. Prior to their official debut, ILLIT had starred in luxury fashion house Acne Studios SS24 global campaign.
