James Gunn Denies Rumor About 'Superman's Cut Runtime
As Superman's release date flies closer and closer, new details about the movie are being released. Most recently, the film's runtime was unveiled, and audiences will get to enjoy James Gunn's Superman on the big screen for 2 hours 9 minutes when it's released on July 11. But, in the build-up to the runtime reveal, a rumor was circulating on the internet regarding Warner Bros.' faith in the film being a success. These rumors branched off to include everything from re-shoots to recasting, none of which have been proven to be true. The biggest rumor surrounding the film's runtime claimed that Warner Bros. forced DC Studios and James Gunn to slash the original Superman runtime, which would have been much longer than the above figure. But the director himself has directly addressed the rumor online.
