J.J. Abrams's 'Lost' Reference in 'Duster,' Explained

Somehow, J.J. Abrams returned… to the small screen, that is. After a solid decade in the blockbuster realm and stints in the Star Trek and Star Wars universes, Abrams has found his way back to the medium that made him a household name and created his first scripted series since 2010’s short-lived Undercovers. His new show, Duster, doesn’t share much in common with the mystery-box delights of Lost or the underrated Fringe, but it’s a hugely enjoyable homage to the ‘70s crime dramas he grew up watching.
