Dwayne Johnson Co-Producing 'Ripped' for 20th Century Studios
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson decided to hustle for the muscle as the producer of a feature film adaptation of Ripped, a short story by Joe Ballarini, as part of Seven Bucks Productions' first-look deal with The Walt Disney Company. According to The Hollywood Reporter, 20th Century Studios has acquired the rights to the movie, which will be produced by Seven Bucks' Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia, as well as 12:01's Scott Glassgold, who launched his company in December with the aim of identifying short stories to bring to the screen.
