Liam Neeson's 'Absolution' Isn't an Action Movie and That's Okay
Being in the entertainment industry for almost 50 years, Liam Neeson doesn’t show any signs of slowing down (contrary to what critics have to say). He’s still starring in two or three films a year and giving us some great character work in those productions. The Irish actor’s latest feature — an action thriller film from last year titled Absolution — saw Neeson step into an initially familiar role. Without a formal name (although given the moniker of Thug in the film’s credits), the character was a fearsome muscle piece for the mob at one point in time. But in a strange twist of events, Absolution chooses not to highlight the enforcer’s greatest moments.
