'M3GAN 2.0' Review: A Killer-Doll Movie on Steroids
One-liners, amped-up gadgets, ludicrous plot twists — M3GAN 2.0 has everything viewers need to satisfy their craving for more of the scandalous android. Allison Williams and Violet McGraw return as Gemma and young Cady, but the eponymous robot is the one really filling the seats. M3GAN (2022) was a massive hit, both commercially and critically. And while some of the recent teasers for Blumhouse and Atomic Monster's new collaboration are a bit cringe, don't let those — or the PG-13 rating — deter you. From returning director Gerard Johnstone, M3GAN 2.0 shamelessly leans into the absurdity of it all. It helps that the supporting players, both returning and newly arrived, live up to the task — the sequel would malfunction if they were duds.
