'Matlock' Season 2: Release Date, Plot, & Cast
CBS's Matlockwas one of the brightest spots in last year's broadcast season, earning some of the best ratings of any new series along with solid reviews. The legendary Kathy Bates stepped into the shoes of original star Andy Griffith for a sort-of reboot of the original late-'80s series, using its name recognition to tell a very different kind of legal story. Critics and viewers fell for the show on the strength of Bates' performance, and a story that deals almost as much in espionage as in courtroom drama.
