MCU 'Blade' Reboot Will Be Set In the Modern Day, Kevin Feige Reveals
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has finally provided a much-needed, and thankfully promising, update on the long-awaited Blade reboot. On July 20, 2019, it was confirmed that two-time Academy Award-winner Mahershala Ali would play Blade in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It has now been six years, and apart from a voice cameo in Eternals, Ali's Blade has still not joined the MCU. The film has been one of the franchise's most troubled productions, having gone through multiple writers and at least two directors, with rumors spreading that Ali would be walking away from the role of Blade.
