Oasis announce Cast as final support act for US reunion shows in New Jersey and California

Oasis have announced that Cast will be supporting them at some of their upcoming US reunion tour dates.

In October, after being widely reported following some teasing from Liam Gallagher, it was confirmed that the Liverpool indie heroes would be joining the UK shows as the final support act alongside Richard Ashcroft.

Now, the band have revealed they’ll also be heading on the road to join a handful of US shows, too. Announced today (June 26), Cast said they were “delighted” to be included in the sold-out dates.

They’ll be supporting the shows in East Rutherford, New Jersey at MetLife Stadium on August 31 and September 1, as well as the two Los Angeles, California shows at Rose Bowl Stadium on September 6 and 7.

Speaking to NME in October about the reaction to the news, frontman John Power said: “We’re blown away by it,” adding: “We had the nod and were just waiting for the official announcement. Now we can bask in it. It’s a stamp of approval from our peers, and I appreciate that massively.”

He continued: “It kind of reaffirms our legacy and authenticates the road and journey that we’ve been on as a band. And now us, Richard Ashcroft and Oasis – talk about Northern Soul! That’s some line-up.”

Power, also formerly of The La‘s, explained how his path has often meandered with that of Oasis and now Cast find themselves “about to play to play the biggest tour in the world.”

Cage The Elephant will support in North America and Mexico, while indie favourites Ball Park Music will be opening for all five of the Australian reunion shows. Supporting acts for the band’s Asia and South American dates have yet to be announced.

Their historic tour comeback tour will kick off on July 4 in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium – the first of 19 shows in the UK and Ireland, including seven dates at London’s Wembley Stadium. Tickets sold out quickly when they went on sale last year, with fans complaining of being stuck in queues for hours.

Following the UK and Ireland run, the Gallagher brothers are due to hit up Canada, the US and Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile and Brazil. The 2025 tour consists of 41 dates in total, ending on November 23 in São Paulo.

With their first reunion shows now only a week away, the members of the band have been spending time locked away in a rehearsal studio in London for hours at a time to prepare for the giant stadium gigs.

The Gallagher Brothers recently reunited on camera to launch a line of Adidas Originals gear, although the ad was met with some criticism. Liam took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the disapproval, remarking, “Oasis don’t discriminate”.

In other news, Oasis have urged fans to book their places now for the ‘Live ‘25’ merchandise pop-up stores in order to avoid queues, and they recently revealed that additional and final tickets could be on sale soon.
