Oasis share official recording of ‘Slide Away’ from Live ’25 opening night in Cardiff

Oasis have shared the official recording of ‘Slide Away’ from the opening Cardiff show on their huge Live ’25 tour.
The Britpop legends officially kicked off their reunion tour last Friday (July 4), where they played to over 75,000 people at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. It marked the first time the brothers had played their first live shows together in 16 years, with Cast and Richard Ashcroft in tow as special guests.
During the night, the brothers played a slew of their greatest hits, paid tribute to late Liverpool star Diogo Jota, who tragically died in an accident earlier this week at the young age of 28, and even poked fun at Ticketmaster’s dynamic ticket pricing system – something they’ve publicly denied knowing anything about.
Now, the band have shared an official recording performing ‘Slide Away’ at Cardiff. ‘Slide Away’ was sixteenth in the setlist, taking place after ‘Cast No Shadow’ and leading into ‘Whatever’.

The night was an affair that garnered a five star review from NME, who wrote: “Lord knows we needed a taste of that halcyon ‘90s hope and abandon in 2025 – especially for the raving and craving Gen-Zers. The world is a rotting shitty bin-fire and tomorrow never knows, but tonight, you’re a rock’n’roll star.”
They’re due to take on a series of mighty hometown shows at Manchester’s Heaton Park, where their next tour stop kicks off from July 11. Check out the official weather reports here and stage times here.
Then, the brothers will play seven nights at London’s Wembley Stadium, along with shows in both Edinburgh and Dublin.
The Oasis reunion tour will also see the band visit North America, South America, Australia, South Korea and Japan.
In the run-up to their first official appearance together, last month saw Liam and Noel appear together in an Adidas Originals advert as part of a new partnership with the brand. They also teamed up with Bohemian FC for a new football shirt to mark their return.
More recently, they announced the 30th anniversary reissue of ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’, and shared a new unplugged version of ‘Acquiesce’.
The reissue will come in various vinyl formats and will feature five new unplugged versions of classic tracks, produced and mixed by Noel Gallagher and his engineer Callum Marinho. ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Morning Glory’, ‘Champagne Supernova’ and ‘Cast No Shadow’ will also have their own unplugged versions.
The reissue will feature new artwork shot by original sleeve designer Brian Cannon and new sleeve notes.
