Sebastian Stan Reveals Iconic Clint Eastwood Role Inspired 'Thunderbolts*' Performance
Bucky Barnes is getting too old for the MCU, or at least Sebastian Stan thinks so, as he drew inspiration from an unexpected but relevant film for his performance in Thunderbolts*. You might forget that Sebastian Stan and Bucky Barnes have been a part of the MCU since its infancy, debuting in Captain America: The First Avenger. It was only in The Winter Soldier that Bucky Barnes gained true prominence in the MCU, and the character has since become a mainstay of Marvel's big-screen team-ups, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Disney+ series. Given that Bucky Barnes is now a veteran in the MCU, it's only right that Stan drew inspiration from one of the greatest veteran characters in cinema, Clint Eastwood's William Munny from Unforgiven.
