'Star Wars: A New Hope' Is Returning to Theaters in 2027
Star Wars is returning to the big screen, though it will be a bit of a wait. In 1977, Star Wars, later given the subtitle Episode IV: A New Hope, was a cultural phenomenon and a box office smash hit, becoming the all-time highest-grossing movie ever at the time of its release. In 1997, for the film's 20th anniversary, it was re-released in theaters for the Special Edition and once again became a box office sensation and helped build the excitement for the Star Wars prequels.
