'Star Wars' Carrie-Anne Moss Says She "Underestimated" Backlash to 'The Acolyte' Character Death
Star Wars has had a much more successful time getting television projects off the ground when compared to the stalled development of several theatrical projects. However, that doesn't mean that every Disney+ series has gone off without a hitch. One series that sparked considerable controversy during its run on the streaming service was The Acolyte, a Star Wars story set 100 years before Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, which tells a murder mystery set during the High Republic era. The Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss would be central to the marketing of the series as Jedi Master Indara, which shocked fans that she would die in the opening scene of the first episode.
