'Star Wars' Director Shuts Down One Big Theory About 'The Last Jedi'
Despite not having stepped into the Star Wars Universe for eight years, Rian Johnson is still having to address the controversies surrounding his entry in the sequel trilogy. Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi would wind up being critically successful, garnering an impressive 91% "fresh" rating on the review aggregate website Rotten Tomatoes from 482 critics' reviews. However, its 41% audience score from over 100,000 submitted reviews would end up telling a different story. Many of the complaints from fans would ultimately stem from the fact that the director addressed the plot points of Episode VII - The Force Awakens in a way they didn't find satisfactory.
