Upon its release in 2015, Star Wars: The Force Awakens seemed to divide many fans and critics. To some, J.J. Abrams has revitalized one of the most significant intellectual properties of the 20th century. Others were content to express their outrage, claiming that Disney had “killed Star Wars.”
