'Superman's International Box Office Failure Justified by James Gunn Because "Superman Is Not a Big Known Superhero"
Superman might be kicking up a storm at the US box office, but the DCU's first film is sitting in its own Fortress of Solitude at the international market. James Gunn wrote and directed the new movie, which stars David Corenswet as the titular Man of Steel. Superman was released in theaters on July 10, and quickly smashed domestic box office records.
