Taylor Swift granted temporary restraining order from alleged stalker

Taylor Swift has been granted a temporary restraining order against a man who has allegedly been stalking her at her Los Angeles residence.
Brian Jason Wagner, a 45-year-old man from Colorado, has been ordered by Judge Debra R. Archuleta to maintain a minimum of 100 yards from the singer until June 30, with Swift said to be in “fear for my safety and the safety of my family”.
Swift sought the restraining order on June 6, writing: “I am informed that Mr. Wagner made various statements about living at my property (not true), being in a relationship with me (not true), believing I am the mother of his son (not true), and needing to see me in person, all of which are untrue and disconnected from reality” (via Billboard).
The application for the order stated that Wagner first appeared at Swift’s residence in July 2024 and it claims that he was “carrying a glass bottle that could have been used as a weapon”. He is also said to have attempted to collect her mail, with his most recent visits allegedly occurring last month.
“I do not share publicly where I reside and have never shared my address or the location of my Los Angeles residence with Mr. Wagner,” Swift added. “Therefore, the fact that Mr. Wagner has determined where I reside and visited the property several times, refusing to leave and claiming to need access, makes me fear for my safety and the safety of my family.”
A background check reportedly revealed that Wagner’s excessive interest in Swift stems from a spell in jail, during which he wrote “lengthy communications” suggesting he was in a relationship with the singer.
One legal case that Swift will not be involved in is the feud between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively. She had been issued a subpoena by Baldoni’s legal team last month, which alleged that she had been a witness to key discussions between the two actors, but the subpoena has since been revoked.
Elsewhere, eagle-eyed Swifties believe they may have spotted a potential clue that the singer teased her new album in a post about her buying back the remainder of her master recordings last month.
