The 1975 want your “memories” of band for “collaborative video” debuting at Glastonbury 2025

The 1975 are asking fans to submit their “memories” of the band for a new “collaborative video” debuting during their set at Glastonbury 2025.
The Manchester group are due to headline the Worthy Farm festival on Friday June 27, with what will be their only live show of the year. They are topping the bill alongside Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo.
Matty Healy and co., who haven’t played a gig together since March 2024, are presumably underway with preparing for their huge Glasto appearance. Yesterday (May 27) they sent out an email, revealing details of how fans could get involved with the milestone slot.
“Join The 1975 in a special collaborative project for Glastonbury Festival,” it began.
“We’re inviting fans to share their favourite moments with The 1975 – whether it’s footage from concerts, photos with your vinyl collection, or clips of you and your friends enjoying the music.”
The message concluded: “Your memories could be featured in a collaborative video project debuting at Glastonbury.”
Those wanting to contribute can submit their photos and/or videos here.

The forthcoming performance will mark The 1975’s debut headline set at Glastonbury, with their most recent slot at the festival being in 2016. Jamie Oborne, the boss of The 1975’s label Dirty Hit, recently said that the gig would be the only chance to see them live in 2025.
“It’s such a big gig, and it’s the only show that we’re playing this year,” he commented. “[Healy] thought doing it in isolation would be a really powerful thing. I obviously agreed with him, as I often do.”
Speculation about a potential new era for the band has been rife since The 1975 announced their Glastonbury slot, changed their logo and updated their official social media accounts.
Oborne also revealed that the follow-up to 2022’s acclaimed album ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’ was in the works, saying: “They’re making a record at the moment. I don’t know when it will come out, but they’re making one.”
Earlier this year, Polly Money – who plays live with The 1975 – looked ahead to the Glastonbury headline set during an interview with NME.
“It is honestly a dream come true,” she told us. “It’s very much a bucket list gig for me – I still feel like it’s not real. I think it’s going to be an incredible experience – best night of my life, I bet.”
However, the musician remained tight-lipped as to what fans could expect: “I have a few ideas of what’s gonna go down. Obviously, it’s nothing to do with me – that’s kind of all the boys. But yeah, preparations are definitely underway. We’re hearing little snippets of stuff. It’s very exciting.”
Healy spoke about the prospect of topping the bill at Worthy Farm in 2018. “If I ever am headlining Glastonbury, then everyone’s going to have to be on guard for a year, so that I don’t completely lose my mind,” the frontman explained at the time.
“I think that we are [ready]. Glastonbury, give us a year. Reading & Leeds, I’ll do it tomorrow. It will definitely be a very humble show. All of this ego and confidence here will probably be gone and I’ll be more like, ‘Honestly guys, thank you so much for coming’.”
Responding to these comments, Glasto organiser Emily Eavis said: “Oh really? That’s good. Interesting. They’re great. Obviously, we’d love to have The 1975. Thanks for that. Thanks for letting me know that he said that.”
In recent weeks and months, Glastonbury organisers have been drip-feeding separate posters for its many areas, stages, and venues, including The Park, Woodsies and Greenpeace. Check back here for the latest Glastonbury 2025 line-up news as we get it.
Organisers recently shared a new and updated map of the entire Glastonbury site for this year, showing various changes.
