HBO Disables Social Media Comments Following 'Harry Potter' Casting Backlash
Remember a simpler time when every fandom wasn't disgustingly toxic? The Harry Potter franchise is the latest to be filled with bigoted fans, following several casting announcements for HBO's upcoming reboot. The series recently unveiled its most important casting, that of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley, with Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, and Alastair Stout bringing the characters to life in the reboot, respectively. But, as is always the case nowadays, Instagram has become a toxic cesspool of backlash, so much so that Max has disabled comments under the official announcement.
