‘The Bear’: Carmy and Syd battle against the clock in season four trailer

The trailer for season four of the hit FX culinary drama The Bear has arrived – check out the high-stakes preview below.
Released last night (May 20), the trailer sees Carmy and Syd face their biggest obstacle yet since founding The Bear: cashflow. The trailer kicks off with Cicero showing the pair a countdown clock with major ramifications: “That clock is telling you how much money we have left. When that shows zero, this restaurant needs to cease operations.”
Throughout the rest of the intense – but also uncharacteristically upbeat trailer – we see The Bear crew face damning reviews from food critics as well as tensions rising from personal drama.
A key moment pointing to the series’ signature stress-inducing scenes sees Richie telling Syd: “Upon my signal, unleash hell.” Check out the trailer for The Bear season four below.
Season four of The Bear is slated to premiere on Disney+ and Hulu next month, with all 10 episodes available on June 26 at 5 pm PT/8 pm ET. Previously, showrunner Joanna Calo has called the fourth season “beautiful”, adding: “There’s a lot of joy this season, and I think you’re going to be happy. It’s not one of the meaner ones, you know what I mean?”
The hit drama-comedy and Emmy Award-winning series from FX will have Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach returning for its newest season. Other returning cast members include Jamie Lee Curtis, Matty Matheson, Abby Elliott and more.
In a description of the fourth season, Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (White), Sydney Adamu (Edebiri) and Richard “Richie” Jerimovich (Moss-Bachrach) are all “determined not only to survive, but also to take The Bear to the next level”.
Since its first season launching in 2022, the show has won 21 Emmys and five Golden Globes to date for its three seasons.
In a four-star review of The Bear‘s third season, NME wrote: “Cracking along with its usual mix of slow-burns and fast-spurts, the balance in season three is just right. From Marcus poignantly delivering the eulogy at his mother’s funeral to Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) dealing with her father as she settles on a new place to live to the pregnancy of Carmy’s sister Natalie (Abby Elliott), everyone gets a moment or two to shine.
“Once again, The Bear has come out of the oven baked to perfection; its pursuit of excellence puts other shows to shame.”
