'The Holiday' Is Getting a TV Remake After 20 Years Without Any Original Cast or Crew
The hit holiday classic The Holiday is the latest in a long line of 2000s media getting a revival, as AppleTV+ has ordered a miniseries based on the 2006 hit film. Directed by Nancy Meyers, The Holiday revolves around Iris (Kate Winslet), a London newspaper columnist, and Amanda (Cameron Diaz), a Los Angeles movie trailer company owner, who exchange their houses on a whim after each suffers a heartbreak around the holidays. Amanda meets Iris’ widower brother (Jude Law) while Iris meets Miles (Jack Black), a film composer and affiliate of Amanda's ex-boyfriend.
