'The Long Walk' Director Reveals Stephen King's Early Reaction to the Adaptation
The Long Walk is the next Stephen Kingadaptation that's set for release. The dystopian horror film will land in theaters on September 12, 2025, and fans of the author will finally get the chance to see the story on the big screen after a lengthy period in development. Judging from the first look, The Long Walk is a faithful adaptation of the terrifying novel, which is something that doesn't always happen when King's work is brought to life. Director Francis Lawrence faced numerous challenges when he accepted the gig — not least the idea of subjecting his vision to King's approval.
