The Lowes-Grossing 'Transformers' Movie Becomes Streaming Hit Two Years Later
There’s no denying that the Transformers franchise has taken a few hits in recent years. It went from grossing over $1 billion per movie down to a little over $400 million. That’s certainly a sharp decline, and would give any studio pause for concern, which is why we haven’t heard much news recently about the franchise other than the rumor that Michael Bay might be returning to direct another movie. However, thanks to streaming, many films that underperformed at the box office have managed to find new life, including the most recent live-action Transformers flick, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
