The Libertines have played an intimate gig at Bush Hall in preparation for their show at Gunnersbury Park. Check out the footage and full setlist below.

The one-off show was held at the intimate London venue last night (July 31), and took place just days after it was announced to fans this week. It came as a warm-up for their huge upcoming slot at Gunnersbury Park next week.

Taking to the stage for the 2025 edition of the summer series, Pete Doherty and co. will be playing on August 9, and their set comes with support from Supergrass, Soft Play, Hak Baker, Lambrini Girls and Real Farmer.

At the 250-capacity show last night, the indie giants kicked things off with back-to-back renditions of ‘Up the Bracket’, ‘The Delaney’, ‘What Became of the Likely Lads’ and ‘Boys in the Band’.

To wrap up the 16-song setlist, Doherty and his bandmates launched into ‘Time for Heroes’, ‘Can’t Stand Me Now’, and classic ‘Don’t Look Back Into the Sun’.

Following their West London warm-up gig, the band are now headed over to France and Belgium for the remainder of their scheduled tour dates.

All shows come in celebration of their chart-topping 2024 album ‘All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade’. Already on the tour, the indie icons have played across Australia, Mexico, South Korea, Germany and more, as well as a memorable set at this year’s edition of Glastonbury.

Backstage at the latter, Doherty and Carl Barat spoke to NME about their time meeting Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood, as well as a “tantalisingly gorgeous” new album on the way.

Of the latter, Carl Barat addressed the previous claims from the frontman, suggesting that they want to incorporate a Stevie Wonder vibe to their upcoming music.

“We’ve had some thoughts. A lot has changed across the pond and our visas are in jeopardy,” he said, adding that one of their ideas for new music “involved going to America”.

Doherty continued: “We’ve got a really interesting, tantalisingly gorgeous idea that we’re keeping under wraps for now…”

Before then, the frontman sat down for an in-depth conversation with NME in 2024 and described what it was like to be still making music with The Libertines. “I don’t think I ever dared to dream that I’d still be knocking about and making music,” he said.
